Seventeen-year-old Julie has planned her future: to move out of her small town with her boyfriend Sam, enroll in college in the city, and spend the summer in Japan. But then Sam dies. And everything changes. Heartbroken, Julie skips her boyfriend's funeral, throws away his belongings, and tries to do everything she can to forget him and his tragic death.
